Enjoy the privacy of the 3 bedroom, 2 bath guesthouse with eat-in kitchen. |
At Turtle Mist Farm you can enjoy the quiet of the country or take a short drive to the city. The surrounding area provides a variety of attractions, activities and opportunities. The cities of Raleigh, Durham and Chapel Hill offer museums, the arts, fine and casual dining, and shopping.
Guests are welcome and also encouraged to accompany and/or assist the owners with the daily farm maintenance. |

Guest can relax in rocking chairs on the front porch overlooking one of the two stocked ponds, the vegetable garden, and the pastures. Bring your fishing poles or borrow one of ours. You can fish from the pier or our paddleboat. If you want cable television and phone service, Turtle Mist Farm is not the place for you. However, we do offer an extensive video and DVD collection for loan. The kitchen is stocked with appliances, utensils, and basic condiments for your use. Washer and dryer and iron are available. Housekeeping is up to you.
RATES
Turtle Mist Farm requires a two night minimum. A three night minimum stay is required for the holidays of Memorial Day, July 4th weekend, and Labor Day Weekend.
Stays can be scheduled from March 1 through October.
$100.00 per night up to 4 persons, $25 per person for each additional person up to a maximum of six.
We offer a breakfast package containing eggs, bacon or sausage, & bread for an additional $20.00 per day. Other items can be added or substituted, but additional charges may apply, please ask. Complimentary coffee and teas are provided.

Stays in excess of a week can be accommodated at a discounted rate. Call to discuss requirements and details.
PAYMENT OPTIONS
To guarantee reservations, a deposit of $100.00 (by credit card) is due at booking.
Please contact us for reservations or questions. Since we are farmers, we are often away from the computer. Evening is the best time for phone calls. We check our email often and it is the best way to contact us initially.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS
1. Pets are permitted but must be house broken and owners must clean up after pets and care is the owner’s responsibility. Must be able to show proof of being up-to-date on vaccinations. Dogs and cats are not allowed to roam freely around the property because of the free-range animals.
2. No smoking in the house. If you smoke outside, please crush and dispose of all cigarette butts in a safe manner since we are surrounded by pastures and forests. If we have to clean up after you or your pets, there will be an additional charge.
3. Check-in is 3:00 p.m. and check-out is 1:00 p.m.
4. Occupancy is restricted to 6 persons without prior approval of the owners.
5. Cancellations: Reservations cancelled 10 days or more prior to arrival will receive a full refund, less $25 processing fee. Reservations cancelled 7 days prior to arrival will receive a 50% refund, less a $25 processing fee. Cancellations less than 7 days prior to arrival will forfeit the entire deposit. There are no refunds for unused nights resulting from the late arrival or early departures, except under extraordinary circumstances which will be at the discretion of the owner.
6. There will be a $35 charge for all returned checks.
7. There are no refunds due to natural disasters or weather.
8. DVD/video rental - $15.00 loan deposit. Refunded upon return.
9. Turtle Mist Farm reserves the right to refuse service to anyone.
10. In the event that the owners determine that these restrictions have been violated, they reserve the right to terminate your stay immediately and retain all payments and deposits.
LOCATION
Franklinton is about 20 miles north of Raleigh, NC & 15 miles south of Henderson, NC. Written directions are mailed or emailed with confirmed reservations or call for directions.
EVENTS RENTAL
 
In the near future Turtle Mist Farm will be available for outdoor events,
i.e., corporate or family picnics, reunions and weddings.
